Re: wheel alignment

Alignment doesn't fix vibration. (And bad alignment doesn't cause it).

Most likely cause is that you need your wheels balanced, despite the fact that you've just had it done. But there are other possibilities.

Re: wheel alignment

Could be the brand of tires. I had some Douglas tires installed and all was well. Then the next set had noise to them and shaking all the time. Tire place said it was the rims warpped. That's alway the problem when the tires are bad....right?? Sheet!! So anyways down the road, the fronts wore and I got a set of Goodyears. Those things were worse....go figure!! Tire guys show me on the balancer that the rims are warpped as I watch the tire wobble on the balancer. I'm thinking how could they be bent if the car was fine the last time I had tires on it. Sooooo later, we're talking about a year later, I tell them to stick on a set of Michs and I want to see the tires on the balancer when they spin them. Well by gosh gally darn!!!! the rims all spun perfect!!!!! I asked them what did they do to staighten out my rims.....hmmmm dead silence from them!! So the moral of the story is, if you wheels seemed to be fine before, better get on the tire places ass. I'd tell you to go with the Michs. Wal-Mart sells them for about $88 a piece M&B with warranty!! Semetry it the name of them. As for alignments. I do my own. I look at the tire wear and tweak the tow per side. It only takes a small turn to make a big difference.
