Keys

I purchased a key from ebay. The MB dealers told me that these are coded to the vin# of each car and cannot be re-programed. Does any one know if they can be re-programed and how to do so? Thanks in advance

I do not know what car the keys came from. It says they are good for C-Class, E-Class, CLK and S-Class. They are MARQUARDT 3302; 315 MHz; FCC ID: IYZ 3302, Canada: 6960. This is what the seller had on the post. I will email him for further information and re-post. Thanks.

I'm not aware of any of those types of keys being re-programable to a different car, but I have been out of the buis. a long time. Maybe someone in the aftermarket has figured out how to program them. Your dealer is telling you correctly however, they are coded to the vin. and (as far as I know) can't be reprogramed by MB.
