Neon lights in cali!
anyone from cali here? I just wanted to asked if having neon lights inside the car illegal? please let me know asap ok guys thanks!

In a lot of states, if not most, its illegal to have any auxillary light on at night that could cause a hazard to your driving i.e. the dome light. So I would say not to do it, unless you're parked.

thats it dont really bother me much to have it on. more likly i might get an accedent when i see cool looking cars that pass me by and that are parked.

In cali idk but i think in most states if you ahve one like on the dash pionting out yes. I have one in the *Trunk/hatch* of my mx3 and that thing lites up the whole back glass and they never said nething here in KY.

Every cop I have spoke to has told me that any light that is not OEM is illegal. I'm pretty sure thats a fed law

Check with your local police and ask them if u get mixed responses then ask sombody to check the books. There was also a website you could check on to see your local laws but i can't remeber what it was.

i work at the local police department here in california city, california, neon lights under ur car is illegal. some things i cant believe is illegal is air fresheners hanging from ur rear view mirror, CANT BELIEVE THAT. its unbelievable but its true.

Well
I've asked it from a cop and they said it is ilegal but i dont know why. I guess anything that my distract your attention from driving is ilegal that my explain the hanging in the mirriors. but i've been driving with my neon lights one for about 4 months now all i do is just unplug it when i see a cop and aside from unpluging i slow down heheh!
