1992 Camry LE V6 3.0L engine..
Hi, I want to put in a new air filter which I thought would be simple since all you should do it take off the clips but I noticed I have to take the whole tube off to put in, could anyone tell me if I have to do all that or should be just simple and take off the clips that's all???

Re: 1992 Camry LE V6 3.0L engine..
It's best to take the rubber hose off the TB & AFM (They split easily once they're old.), but you can do it without it.
After that yes, 4 clips & pull up. Don't rip the AFM's wiring out if you're gonna remove it completely. There is a wire that clips it in place, then you pull it out. If you just unscrew the screws & pull the wire, it'll rip all the elctrical connectors off the electronic PCB inside the housing.

Thanks so much man but seems like something maybe I should let the mechanics do for me, not something I should fool around.

What, exactly, is too complicated, or hard about 4 clips. Just don't go bending your hose around too much.
(Take that as a mother bird pushing a baby out of the nest, not as beaing mean.)
