Post Radio/Amp problems

I have a 1995 Ford Explorer that keep running the battery down. My
mechanic friend checked for the short and found that the amp was
draining the battery and was stuck. Can someone tell me where the
amp is located and where I can get a new or used one. I guess the radio is all right. He told me that the dealer wanted over $400 for a new one.

Dont even waste your money on a factory amp, go to www.crutchfield.com and just get a new head unit, they will supply all required installation items and detailed instructions to help you get it going, I have less than $200 in my alpine head unit that bypasses the factory amp and sounds GREAT!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps
