Looking into buying a 05 or 06

Hello all. I just totalled my '04 Colorado and I'm considering buying a 05 or 06 Xterra. I have a few questions for any owners out there....

the obvious one...how do you like it? Any problems/issues?
Any options you wish you got or didn't get?
I'm looking for a low maintenance truck...does it have a timing belt or chain???

Any other thoughts feel free...THANKS!

If you have any potential interest in a rear locker, GET the Offroad trim. There is little chance an aftermarket one will be available.

Re: Looking into buying a 05 or 06

Purchased an 05 SE in Silver one week ago. Could not be happier. Shopped only a short time finding nothing that could compare in class. 05' New left over 14 mi on it. $2500 below invoice, in Albany, NY area.
Prior vehichles
98 Jeep GC 4.0
03 Audi A41.8
96 Toyota 4Runner

Pros:
for the $$ this SUV has everything I could want.
Simple but not cheap interior.
6 disk Fosgate sounds good
Solid feeling over rough pavment. short wheel base does give a little hop at speed thru bumps
Plenty of power and smooth transmission.
Great visioin out of vehichle all around
Plenty of power outlets front and rear
Rubber mats included

Cons:
No stereo input for Ipod or other audio source
(does play mp3s from disk however, very nice)
as above a little hoppy at speed over harsh pavement, not terrrible
Quiet ride inside, but notice stereo and interior sound very audible outside.
OEM Tires on SE not so rugged looking, Like the SE loaded but would have rathered the BF goodrich Rugged Trails over the Radial Trail TA, just a cosmetic thing.

Over all it fits like a glove. Hope this helps.
