'92 Mazda Protege radio installation question
Hi all, I'm looking to replace the horrible old car stereo that came with my car with a cheap CD Player one. I'd like to just buy it at Best Buy, but according to their site, absolutely none of their radios fit my car. What I was wondering is, does the 1992 Protege's radio setup match any other kinds of cars? 323s or 626's, just so I can tell them "Oh, it'll fit, it takes the same kind of radios as X other Mazda car" I can't believe a '92 Protege would be that hard to get a radio into. Thanks for any help

I went to Crutchfield to get installation stuff for my '91 323. It came witht the mounting kit and wiring for about $35. You can get any CD player you want, as long as you wire it up properly.
