Twice last winter and not again until yesterday my 98 Bravada wouldn’t start. On all occasions the temperature was in the single digits. Battery is at full charge and engine cranks normally. What I have noticed, every time I have had this no start condition all of the idiot lights in the instrumentation panel are out while the ignition switch was in the cranking position. Yesterday on the second try to start the vehicle during engine cranking the instrumentation panel lights came on and the engine immediately started and ran normally. I’m thinking possibly an ignition switch but was wondering if there are any computer controlled relays on this vehicle that could be causing this scenario. Anyone have any other ideas?

Re: 98 Bravada No Start in Cold Weather
I'd guess the switch if you know your battery connections are good. Next time try switching run to start multiple times to clean the copper bars inside the switch...maybe it'll start working again.
