Clearing Snow

You guys got me all fired up. This is the first car I ever waxed or even hand washed. Now the winter is here. In the past, I used the shovel to knock down the top layers of snow then the broom to get the rest. Tdoay I was hessitant thinking it may ruin my wax.

How do you guys clean the snow off your car?

I use a microfibre wash mitt.I also lift my wipers off the glass when I park so in the morning they're ready to go. Any ice I use a mini scraper so not to gouge into the moulding.

First, I start the car to let it warm up. While it is warming up I brush the car off completely with an extandable snow brush. It is shaped like a T so that you can pull snow and not have to push it off in a sideways motion. One end is a scraper and the other end is a brush/rubber-blade combo. I use the rubber blade for wiping the windows dry (like at gas stations) as they melt. I have yet to use the scraper. It was the best $12 I have ever spent.

Re: Clearing Snow

yeah i may be an idiot but if i have the time which i usually do ill only clear off the front and back windsheild. Then drive me car directly to the local car wash and spend a buck fifty to spray the snow off. I just hate driving around with snow on my car, even if its only a little bit stuck on the bottom of the windshield or under the wing.....anyway it works.
