He switched what?
Try swapping the fuel pump relay with another one near it with the same part number. There should be three or four of them together.

Re: HELP! Van won't start
Try starting it on a shot of ether, just to be sure it's lack of fuel that's the problem.

Sorry he switched out the fuel pump. Do you know where the fuse is for the fuel pump? Autozone said it was on the console on the left side, but we are unable to find it. I'll call to get a price on the relay today! thanks. |

Re: HELP! Van won't start
Did you choose Lumina or Lumina van when looking at AZ's site? Makes a difference.
On the sedan, you open the door on the passenger's side and the fusebox is right there on the end of the dash that's normally covered by the door when closed. There should be three or four relays (look like little 1.5" or so black squares with wiring) under the hood somewhere, one will be a fuel pump relay. If you can figure which one, you can swap them around and see what happens. Check your oil level too. That'd suck if that's all it was. Some have a low-oil interlock that won't let the fuel pump run if oil pressure is low. Not sure if yours is one of those...but worth a look. You shoot it with some ether, make sure it'll start if you can get fuel up to it?

On your 1994 CHEVROLET TRUCK LUMINA VAN, the RELAY is:UNDER HOOD, PASSENGER SIDE, FRONT ENGINE AREA, REAR OF HEADLIGHT HOUSING, MOUNTED IN RELAY BLOCK ON FENDERWELL

Do you know what relay is under the hood on the drivers side on the inside side panel, because when I turn the key on it is ticking. |

Thank you for your input, it was a fuseable link in line with the relay causing all the problems. It took a mechanic 5 minutes to fix lol. |
