What would you pay for my car?

Okay, maybe this isn't the right part of the forum but it seems 4th gen related so I'm gonna go for it.

I'm debating selling my car in the summer. The reason? I'm thinking about getting something newer (like an EK) mainly because I want to change EVERYTHING about the car if I keep it. New paint job, new tranny, new mounts, new block, ECU, suspension, and so on. So I'm kinda thinking that I'm wasting my time and money doing all this stuff to a car that already has it all done.

Heres the breakdown.
The good:
Solid body with recent painjob. New metal rockers were made for it when the paint job was done.
B16 with S1 tranny, CTR N1 crank pulley
2.5" exhaust from the exhaust manifold back
EG seats
ITR console
Sportline springs, Koni red shocks
CF hood

The bad:
Some rust bubbling on the rear quarters due to only using fiberglass to patch them.
The wiring is messy
Grinds 3rd

What do you think? I'm wondering if I could get 3Gs Canadian for it, or if that's too little or too much?!
What do you all think?

Just remember mods dont make your car worth any more than it should if it was stock

Re: What would you pay for my car?

Good, thanks for the inputs. So I'm realizing it's not unreasonable that I could get 3000-3300 saftied and e-tested. (cdn.)

Also, I realize that usually mods don't make the car appriciate in value however I will have to be selling the car to a niche market to get rid of it at all. Not the average Civic driver cares about a 6lbs. hood or polyurethane mounts that make the car vibrate.

Re: Re: What would you pay for my car?

Like you said, there is a market for your car. So it will sell for more than if it were stock. There is a kid who recently brought in his new crx he just purchased. He paid $5k US for it. It is the biggest piece of shit I have seen. I wouldnt have paid $500 for it. Nasty paint, bodykit cracked to hell, a roll cage that scares me, a wiring nightmare, and a sohc ZC.

He wanted it bad enough to pay the price.
