Info on 1995 K1500 ext cabs?

I own a 89 and have not had any troubles since I bought it new with over 200k. I am looking at a 95 k1500 ext cab with a snowplow setup. I was wondering what common problems am I looking for on a 95. I hear the trans are bad, the vortec 350 a pain to work on the cpi units etc. Please advise on the 95 bad points for me. Want more info before I purchase a dud year.

96 was the first year of the Vortec, the 95 should be a TBI.

I have a 1995 4.3. I have 195k mile on mine. I really have not had many problems with this truck. It has been driven hard. You may check the front end, make sure all components are stable. The transmission in mine did go out at 99k. my ignition switch also went out recently. The motor is not bad to work on, pretty easy actually. I rebuilt and had driving in a weekend. You have tbi on this truck. The fuel pumps like to go out frequently. Have it checked out, and talk with a local mechanic. They will talk with you.

I,ve had a 95' with a 5.7 for about 2 years. The only issue I have had was the A/C compressor bearings are rumbling. Its got 130,000 on it. If it got stolen I would buy another one tomorrow. I do have all the maintanace records and original window sticker from the first owner (28,985.00 in 95) so it was well maintained Good luck
