2004 radio/cd replace

I have a question hopefully someone has the answer. I have a 2004 Accord LX. I wanted to swap out the radio with the 6disc EX model. I bought one off Ebay that was from a 2003 coup. The only problem is the HVAC unit doesn’t work properly. I can't control the direction of the fan (i.e. floor, defrost, body, etc) the radio/cd part works fine. Anybody encounter this? I'm wondering if the coup and sedan units are different. The only thing I noticed was the backlight in the sedan is green & coup is amber. Thanks.

I would like to do the same thing. I just bought a 2003 LX and would like to upgrade to the 6-cd in dash changer from the EX model. I have found one on ebay but do not want to purchase unless the HVAC system will work right also. Does anybody have any suggestions.
