The heater goes cold at idle and defrost had actually frosted interior of windshield. Works fine on highway. Car is not overheating, fluid level good. Any diagnosis help would be much appreciated.

I have a 2001, but i think that eveything but astethics were the same in 2001-2002

i am having heater problems too! have you tried bleeding any air out of the cooling system? the HC and overflow is higher than the radiator in "cab-forward" chryslers and are prone to vapor lock. ther is a bleed valve under the hood to get this air out, although it is usually a permanent and not intermittant problem.

My problem is electrical- the switch that directs air flow from the HC or the A/C condensor doesnt seem to respond whn you adjust the comfort temperature higher. i removed the switch/motor and checked- shure enough it doesnt turn in respone to you turning the temperature control. Dear old Mom has a 2002, so i took the control set out of the dash, as well as the seemingly malfunctioning switch. i installed them in her car and they seem to work fine. so i am left with this- is there a temperature sensor that tells the switch how far to turn in order to get the desired comfort level? this has got to be faulty if there is one, but i cant seem to find it!

if you cant help, maybe someone can come along that can help us both!!!
