Re: CAI on rainy days ?
well they r changed and it still does it just not as bad, maybe i should try and change the cap and rotor, rotors fairly new but caps over a year old and i cleaned the contacts when i changed the rotor, they looked ok but maybe they r worse now. its seems to spudder @ low rpms then bam no spudder at all. by spuddering im mean it sounds and feels like its either off on the timing or its not firing on all cyl. WTF

Re: CAI on rainy days ?
What kind of wires are you using? Are they old? Check the dizzy cap contacts. Make sure the dizz itself is tight.

Re: CAI on rainy days ?
i have MSD Conductor wires on and they r almost 2yrs old maybe. dizzy is tight and cap and rotor will be replaced reguardless. how long could the msd conductor wires last? also how long could an MSD system work under daily driver situations?

Don't know. My Jacobs 8.5mm wires are at least 3-4 years old...

Re: CAI on rainy days ?
ok replaced the cap but not the rotor which i will do today but it still does the low end bog or misfire cant tell which. so what else could be the problem if not in the plugs cap or rotor?

Also, on the rotor contact where it meets up with the contacts for the plug wires, the beginning edge seems to be the only place where there is any carbon buildup or evidence of action goin on. is this normal or should the whole contact strip look used, my timing is advanced about 16deg. i think i didnt do the timing myself.

Re: CAI on rainy days ?
Maybe your timing is too far advanced. Just loosen the distributor bolts, start the car and rotate the distributor toward the front of the car to retard the timing. Obviously using a timing light would be the most effective way, but I took my time, a few changes to retard my timing back and now it's perfect. Then again since you're bogging on low end, maybe your timing is too far retarded. Remember towards back of car is advance and toward front is retard.

Re: CAI on rainy days ?
the timing is at the same place its been for at least a year and nothing has happened till now, and the problem lessened when i changed my plugs and may get even better after i put the new rotor on. so i dont think its the timing.
