Just Upgraded

I sold my 2002 CBR F4i with 20K miles in August with intentions of buying the 2003 R6. I was disappointed to find that I did not comfortably fit on the R6 (I'm 6'1"), legs didn't tuck right. A co-worker came up to me and asked if I was still looking for a bike last week and I said yes. He has a 2002 ZX9R with only 510 miles on it (he hurt his back shortly after buying it) It has been in his garage since. He changed the oil 1-2 a year and rode it just to make sure all was good. He kept the RPMs under break in also, so it hasn't even made the 2nd stage break in yet (600-1000 miles, under 6K RPM). It still needs it's first maintenance, which I am getting done next week... I picked this basically brand new bike up for $3000, including front and rear pit bull stands, rear seat, solo cowl, helmet, jacket, and gloves. He has all the original documentation, including the old lein holder info for his name, so it's all legit. Great deal, Huh?

Great deal, huh. In the famous words of Peter Griffin, you got a 'friggin sweet' deal! Damn I thought I got a good deal on mine. Lets us know how it rides.

Re: Just Upgraded

Rides great from what I have been able to experience on it. I rode it home and kept it under the 4K RPM break in until I get the maintenance done next week. I got it up to around 70 on the interstate, then put her in the garage until I get the work done. I don't want to take any chances until I get the official 1st maintenance done by a kawasaki dealer. Get all the fluids, valves check, etc.

Re: Just Upgraded

No oops moments yet. I ended up never buying the R6. I had been without a bike since august and it was driving me nuts.
