Other than a KIA dealer, where can I purchase rear brake shoes for my Sedona?
Kia is quite expensive.

Re: Sedona rear brake shoes???

in all honesty. pay the extra for the oe part. the sedona rear shoe has a funky arm that is attached to it that has some fairly strange mounting positions for the ebrake cable hardware and such. i have never had to install a set of aftermarket ones but my experience as a kia tech is when aftermarket parts are used on these cars they are often far from well made or extremely poor fitting compared to the ones that the dealer sells.

I have installed the Autozone shoes on a 2002 Sedona. Just make sure that as you compare new and old parts that you IGNORE the stamped "R" or "L" on the new parts! R is left and vice versa in korean evidently. If you use common logic as you look it all over you will find that the P-brake lever will pivot in the wrong direction. This is the only hangup I found in the whole job. the Autozone parts have worked out just fine for the last 6,500 miles.

Re: Re: Sedona rear brake shoes???

I recently purchased new front rotors from NAPA. I have a few thousand miles on these new rotors and they seem to be good. I tried to purchase them at the local Aid, Pepboys and Autozone. Pepboys was able to order them and have them in a few days. Napa had em that day for less money. I would assume they would also have the pads and rear shoes.
