Heat on floor and rear, not along dash?? Please help!!

Can anyone help me figure out this problem?? I get heat on the floor and in the rear but not along the dash, defrost and on doors. I have tried everything with the controls so it must be that the doors are closed and won't allow heat up or something electrical isn't communicating right..not sure..please help if you have any clues, thanks,

Is this an xj40? If so it is common for the servo controlled flaps to stick.
