distributor help...
i have an (edi) distributor on my 68 nova..if im using the right terminology but im not getting any spark..i havent looked at it yet but would like to know the trouble shoot process?i have been told it doest work like the basic distributor...can anyone help??thanks

With voltage there,pull the coil and perform a ohm test to see if the coil is within specs, you need a multimeter, there are spects in repair manuals. If those check out then the electronic mod could be bad. Is the balist resister hooked up? You probably do not want that with a HEI distributor. If you do, perform a resistance check. R X 10,000 or R x 1,000 measured in ohms. black to one terminal, red to the other. same with the coil. a zero reading indicates "open" and needs to be replaced. No power to these when checking. hope that helps.

yea hei i bought a new mudole and still no spark so i thinking its the coil i also have power going to the bat. plug so other then the coil i cant think of any thing else
