Hey Forum!!
I am in need major help with removing the oil pan of my 1996 ford ranger [2X4 - manual]. With some help I figured out that my oil pump was shot. I purchased a new one, however, removing the oil pan to replace the pump is a major pain. I have reached as far as lifting the motor and unbolting the pan. But I still can't get the clearance needed to pull the pan out. Any help with an easier route will be helpful. |

Re: Oil Pan Removal
Generally you have to drop the oil pump to remove the pan, so I usually pull the engine.
