Cool 00 sunfire sputtering constantly

2000 sunfire- automatic 2200
sputtering when maintaining speed on highway, accelerating, at a light- basically anytime after it is started. diagnostic test won't read because it has wiring problems. plugs are new. Is it the coil, wire, crank position sensor, or an injector?

Re: 00 sunfire sputtering constantly

Try changing spark plug wires. If the plugs are new then change the wires or connectors whatever the case may be. If that doesn't correct the problem then change coils. Finally, make sure you check the fuel pressure on the car. If the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator are going bad then fuel pressure is the proper way to check it.

-- I had the same problem with my 00 sunfire...with mine it turned out to be the a wire and the coil.
