1996 Sunfire engine miss at 4000RPM

1996 Sunfire 2.2 misses and cuts out at 4000RPM in Park.

Anyone had this experience and what is the fix?

Not really a problem. You are hitting the rev limiter in the car and the engine will cut out at that level it is a safety feature designed to keep you from damaging the engine.
