So I'm dealin with all the typical problems with my impala as most of the owners are; stuttering acceleration, problems starting the car, but one morning I rev'd my engine to heat the car up faster and the way it "rev'd" sounded funny. The engine sound went up and down. Is this normal? Just got the dayum thing in june.

Re: could it be the engine? 05 impala
How high did you rev it doing this, the rev limiter cuts in at 4k?

Re: Re: could it be the engine? 05 impala
If it still has warranty, take it to the stealership, address the problems to the service department and let them find out whats wrong and fix it.

Re: could it be the engine? 05 impala
When I have my impala...and it's great so say that in a past tense term!!! When the motor was cold, it sounded a little different until it warmed up, then it was fine. It sounded a lot louder until it warmed up.
