Unhappy bmw window problems

one of my windows on my 1993 740il stopped working. It has been diagnosed as a relay or comfort relay. Does anyone know the location of it on the vehicle or how to replace. I'm stuck please help

if it has been diagnosed as a relay "switch" kind of like a fuse actually...the set of relay switches are located under the hood. open the hood and stand in front of the fuse box. now, directly left of the fuse box is another closed container,,,about 5" x5". this lid needs to be removed by prying the clips on the sides, open and sliding the lid straight up.

when the lid is off you will see usually 4 plugs. these plugs are pressed straight down and into the unit by about one inch. the plug on the top left is your ignition relay switch,,,not related to the windows,,,leave this one alone. however i have never seen a diagram describing which other switch fixes what component.

you can try removing them,,,one at a time,,,taking the switch to your auto parts store and matching the numbers exactly on the top corners of the switch. just try them individually till you get the right switch. press it all the way in and your set.

the switches run about $10.00 each.

only remove them one at a time so they dont get mixed or you could never figure out the combination again...?

hope this helps you.
