I love my mkiii because it looks fantastic, but the earlier ones are faster, or so I've heard.

A properly tuned MK1 is faster of corse. Lighter = quicker.
My heart was stolen by a lil philly named MK1

i like the mk1 and mk2 for the reason that they are easy to work on and tune i just bought a mk4 gti vr6 this week and it has all kinds of motor crap wrong with it cuz the car is more advanced then they use to be 15 years ago like coil maf plugs wires and 02 sensor

have you guys seen the 5? i like the 4 better but the 5 is good as well. it is out in europe, but im not sure about the US. its a little bigger than the other golf/gti models.

the a3 is the best without a doubt i like it because of the shape rather than the performance dodgey gear box but it looks sweet
