I need assistance on buying HID lights

Ok, I just bought an 06 accord coupe with all the bells and whistles and i wanted to add HID lights. I went on Ebay to purchase the lights and ran into a problem. Some sellers were mentioning that there was a legal limit to how strong these lights can be. And also i saw all types of brands. All i want to know is, what is the legal limit for temprature of the light and what brand should i go with? Please help

From what i've heard adding any HID lighting system to a car not originally equiped is illegal, assuming the 06 accords don't come with HID's. I've looked into them before and even with the legal issue they're tempting. Pretty much anything over 8000k i believe will just give you a bright blue light, pretty much useless to see stuff and it might attract the attention of police more. I personally think the 6000k look sick.

Well thats not really true, i know dealers buy aftermarket HID's all the time and slap them on a car that was not intended to come equiped with HID's. But what i really want is the purple blueish color that bmw and the s2000 put out. I want to know what power they are using and what brand i should go with. Anyways, seems like this post aint going anywhere but thanks for the input.

I think they're around the 8000K temp for that look. For company's i personaly would go for Hella, Phillips, MTEC or McCulloch. Is this kinda what you're looking for? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-M...16025936QQrdZ1
