An idea that I had would maybe to pay some sort of fee (one time is my preferance) that would remove some if not all of the adds. I personaly am finiding the "adds by google" at the bottom anoying and they take up space. I think it would be nice for the people who pay to be able to turn off some, or all of the adds.
I though that either a onetime, or yearly fee would help. something around $20USD, which I think is a reasonable amount. This would also allow money to go to AF to help pay for he costs of running such a large free (keyword Free) forum. I feel that it is time for the members to be able to give back I know a while back AF had a donation drive which I would have participated in if I had the money at the time. And Im sure that many new members would also like to contribute to the wonderfull communtiy here at AF. I am just throwing this idea out there even though I do not know how much work it would take to do. So if someone with a better knowladge of Web design could respond that woudl be helpfull. -Colin |

Re: IWC: Less adds for a fee?
There are many online support groups for automobiles. What is different, and so great, about AF is that it is free.
A one-time fee would not be a very good way to do it. Web hosting alone is probably thousands (unless I way over estimated the site traffic). Ads pay good money, probably much more than you would want to pay.

Just ignore the ads. Problem solved.
