96 camry stalls out......help
i have a 96 camry v6 and every now and then it will stall on me. usually after a period of driving. when it does stall it starts right back up but will not stay running. i have to keep it at 2000 rpms for a few till it kicks back in to normal engine rpm. while reving it i can feel like something just kicks back on in the engine sound for it to run right again. anyone have any idea of whats going on with my car? thanks for any and all help.

I had something similar happen with my 93 and it turned out being the ignition coil that's built into the distributer. The part itself only cost 40 bucks. You could also try just changing the spark plugs and wires and have a mechanic do a timing check.

Are you getting a "Check Engine" light? if so, have the codes obtained from the computer.
