That, I'd venture, is not a McLaren. I'd take a guess that it's a Minotaur Mk2 kit car.

Minotaur Mk2

I think it's definitely an F1. Although the wheels don't look stock to me.

it looks like the clinic model (see http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=473711) and it adds substance to Eriks post on that thread where he discusses the colours of the clinic model

It's "D: None of the above"

Looks to be someone's digital creation to me. If it were a real F1, it would have to be the Clinic Model, XP1 or XP3 given those foglights, but it's neither of those. The Clinic Model and XP3 were never black, XP1 was never painted. The details are close, but it looks far too cartoony to be a real car to me.

Re: SRO Mag

It's pretty obvious that's a computer generated graphic. Just look at those wheels.

That's exactly why I ventured an opinion other than an F1 on first sight ... either that or the Amsterdam hallucinogens are stronger than at first predicted!!!

not only is it computer generated/altered but they went as far as to fill in the raised portion of the underside of the nose, in between the foglights...

Re: SRO Mag

It started off as a McLaren photo, I believe. If you look at the far side window through the windshield, you can see the unique McLaren window. I doubt anyone creating this from a picture of another car would go to the trouble of putting that detail in. Agree?

I strongly believe it's an image of a 3D model created on a computer, in which case, the wire frame should/would/could have been complete down to that window detail. I've seen a lot of 3D images of F1s and this one looks quite similar to some of them.

For reference - look how real these unreal F1 images look:

I'm sure we can all see some minor discrepancies with these, but I would say they are pretty good compared to most you will find. I'm sure if the logo image was larger it would be even easier to pick that one apart.
