no instrument lights in 1997 buick century limited.

I have checked all fuse's. Is there only one light bulb for speedo and other gauges? If so, how do I get to that bulb to replace it?

Im assuming that there are several bulbs for the cluster. The cluster should unbolt from the dash. You should be able to pull it out and access the bulbs from the back. Before you rip it all apart, check your dimmer switch to make sure the lights are not just turned down.

Yes the dimmer switch was checked. I have instrument cluster out and all bulbs check ok.These bulbs light only the spedo, temp and fuel guages everything else works, odometer milage, high beam etc all light when I turn on ingnition.. I can find no bad fuses so assume it is a wiring problem some where along the way. dimmer turns on overhead light but I am now wondering if it is a dimmer problem? Any Ideas?

It could be the dimmer (potentiometer) portion of the multi-function head lamp switch. Since you have the panels off you might consider checking the voltage output feeding the intstrument panel lamps with a multimeter. It should vary reading 12v to 0v.
