1929 Ford Rod

well i thought with all the rat rods floating around i would post some photos of a '29 i did a couple of months ago.. Ive been waiting for the right engine for this project, an old flat head or something.

ive channeled the body, suicide front end, mounted the headlights off the grill and chopped the windscreen.. theres a couple of other little finishes i need to make also.. but here she is..

Re: 1929 Ford Rod

Very cool... how did you get the primer+rust look? Just peppered rust colour over primer?

thanks for the positive replies guys.. it means alot!

tigeraid - - the primer/rust look is just that.. primer. The primer i have is an automotive primer which is a browny/rusty colour, then i just use very small amounts of what ever top colour (in this case grey) on the end of the end of the brush, many, many light strokes makes the primer look not so brown.

Re: 1929 Ford Rod

I really like the look of this thing!!
The stance is cool and the suicide front is spot on.

Only thing that is bothering me a bit are the front tires wich I think shold be litte smaller than the rears..
