88 Jeep Wrangler

I have an 88 jeep wrangler, 4.2 L 6 cylinder(258) with a 5 speed peugot tranny
It has an internal slave cylinder, how do I replace the slave cylinder

I believe you have to remove the transmission/transfercase to replace the slave cylinder for the clutch.

Certainly not the easiest way the engineers could have designed it.......

sounds like it's similar to mine. i have a 90 YJ with 2.5L, the AX5 trans has the slave cyllinger inside the bellhousing with the throwout bearing on top of it, slide the tranny back 8 inches and you got it.
