Post Compatibility List

Okay, i know that there are z32 parts that fit the 240s, i use a z32 fuel filter as it is. I also heard about brakes or parts of the brake systems that will fit my 240.

Can someone help compile a list of parts from other cars that would fit mine? (only in the upgrade aspect).

Are there any parts from upper year 240s that would be an upgrade for my 1990?

Thanks gurus.

P.S. How much would it cost to swap in a ka24de, i know i wouldn't have the money for a swap for years, but i'm still curious

Not to mention LSD's from a few other car. The J30 is one but not sure about any other ones. Someone else will fill this in.

Re: Compatibility List

'90 300ZX non-turbo diff. This is the R200V that is recommended. It has the same ratio as the 240 at 4.083. The turbo 300ZX has an R230V diff with a 3.69 final drive ratio. Some say that that case will not fit in S13 240's. Plus, the taller ratio will make for a more sluggish 240 unless you are putting down serious power. Q45's also work

Re: Compatibility List

Look in the tech section.

300ZX brake info is in Slidestar's thread.

I made a list of alot of the known stuff that acually improves something. (OEM SPL / Ring Gears)

Re: Compatibility List

Z32 MAF, injectors.
Wheels, various suspension parts (as stated above). Z32 Seats are direct fit for 240s, and look great. Rear subframe from TT if you are going for the really high numbers, 5 lug hubs, and the most popular upgrade from other nissans is either Z32 brakes, or q45.

Re: Compatibility List

Not to mention The STi/Evo Rear Brakes bolt right in only need a 3mm washer between caliper and bracket Proof:

For comparison. I have the fronts going on too, but I need to machine a couple brackets, I had an extra set of the gold STI brembos, but Im close to certain the red EVO brembo calipers use the same bolt spacing. EVO take-off Brembos are pretty cheap, either from wreck part-outs or people upgrading, theres not a big market to sell them since all other EVO guys already have brembos so Ive seen whole sets front and rear sell for around $600! Im making a few sets of front brackets, let me know if anyone wants any

Havent figured out exactly what Im going to do for the Ebrake, what do the Z32 swap guys do? They swap out the whole Z32 rear hub/ebrake? I might see about doing that or I can make a bracket to run a small wilwood cable Ebrake caliper like the ferarris do, still foolin around with all this

And FWIW, the 350Z/G35 Brembos use the small "F40" style calipers, the EVO and STI use their larger "F50" style calipers, F40s are still great, but since you can usually find the EVO/STI ones alot more often and for cheaper, Im gonna try to make this all come together with those first

The Rear EVO Brembo bolt spacing looks to be about 1/2" too wide, so if you keeping an eye out pick up the STI rear, though you will still need the EVO rear rotors. As for fronts, EVO and STIs are supposedly identical, in any case, I should have a set of STI Brembos off my car other car to play with this weekend
