Question Sixteen sighting?

Okay,my buddy is out in St.Louis for a few months. And today he called me claiming he spotted a Cadillac Sixteen in traffic that pulled up next to him.I told him he was out of his mind.Because to my understanding theres only been one made thats currently sitting on a shelf in Detroit.I could be wrong.Im not sure.I told him it was probably a new DTS.He swears it was a Sixteen.Could I be wrong?Could Bob Lutz be joy riding in a Sixteen and my buddy happened to see this amazing machine?

I doubt a car nut could mistake a Cadillac Sixteen as it is very big and doesn't look like other cars. Cadillac may make another flagship besides the new 443 hp XLR-V and the 469 hp STS-V.

Re: Sixteen sighting?

He's not a carnut like me.He's a Cadillac lover as am I,but isn't as knowledgable on them as I am.He drives a 2004 CTS thats pretty nice. But I could see how someone who isn't like me could mistake the new DTS's and Sixteen's rear ends. What do you mean another flagship.Cadillac's flagship is the XLR-V.Im just trying to figure out if Cadillac made a few of these Sixteens and theres one stationed in the St.Louis area.I thought there was only one,the one I had the opprotunity to sit in at the New York International auto show when shutdown was nearing, which by the way left me speechless in au.Im dying to know if he saw one or not.Which if someone could show me that theres more than one I'd probably believe him.

There have been rumors about Cadillac making a production version of the Sixteen, but it may be a Twelve as in a V-12 model...Northstar V8 + four more cylinders, sixteen more valves, and what not.

Re: Sixteen sighting?

Yea I've heard about it too.Its called the ULS,its meant to compete with the Continental GT and the Maybach Coupe which will hit production. Its like a 2 door Sixteen with the 12 cylinder that debueted in the Cien. With 750 horsepower.Though its not due until about 2009 or something. If anything even happens with it.Cadillac needs something like this.
