New RECORD???

So did I miss something or what. I just went onto 3sny's website and there is a caption saying:

"Jack Tretarian breaks 1/4 world record by running a 10.4 @ 138mph"

I can't find anymore info, I search 3si and couldn't find any discussion of it at all. So has Nelson's car been dethroned? Anybody know anything about this?

Nelsons car hasnt ever held the record, and that run was a while ago.
Nelsons car did just run a 11.004@140 with an IC pipe off and only making 19psi for part of the run and a 2.1 60' time.

um, Matt Monet ran a 10.75 and 10.76 in Nelson's car a while ago. His has been the record for a while, where've you been?

That wasnt Nelsons car. That was Rays.

And Yes Jack T has the record now.

Holy hell that is just unreal. Can't wait to hear how Ray does on Friday at e-town. (wish I weren't going to NY this weekend or I'd be there for sure!)

i must have browsed over your post. i read it, but it didn't register. i saw Igovert's post and new what he was talking about, so i assumed too much. but i hadn't read about ray's crappy run when you had posted it. i just ran over to 3si and saw something new and was like 'whoa! i can post this for something new on the af records thread'.
