Re: Front Drive Shaft Replacement

Welcome to the site Indyhog.
Are you refering to the shafts that drive the front wheels or the propeller shaft from the transfer case to the front differential? Regardless, your experience will be a great benefit to other Bravada people because the hard parts like axles, hubs and the like are showing up worn as many approach 200,000 miles.

I am refering to the shafts which drive the front wheels (CV Shaft). I can even tell you where to go for the best price for the replacement parts. If there is enough interest in it I could put together a detail power point presentation with step by step illustrations which just about anyone could follow. Then post it here if that is possible??? It would take some time though, maybe around xmas time. Let the forum vote

Which tread style did you get on the Duelers?

I got the Bridgestone Dueler HT's this summer. I like them, not as noisey as the AT tread. Good handling under a full load and when towing and good enough for most off roading. When I go camping for a week or so at a time. I'm on dirt roads and jeep trails the whole time so I drop the pressure to about 20 lbs which softens out the washboard roads then pump them up to 35 lbs when I get back on the pavement. Good sidewalls, never lost a bead yet.

I am trying to replace the Driver's side halfshaft on my Bravada and There doesn't seem to be enough room to remove it. I have it loose, but it looks like I will have to remove the wheel humb housing to remove the shaft. Is there an easier way?
