89 Grand Marquis blower resistor

My fan blower switch only works in high. I read in other posts that a blower resistor has probably gone bad. Anyone know where it is located and is it easy to change/replace?

Re: 89 Grand Marquis blower resistor

Yes. It's under the hood on the right side of the heater box, just below the heater hoses. You'll see either 4 or 5 wires coming from it, depending on which system you have, manual, or ATC.

Thanks pickup6772. I found it! The connector was melted too - so it looks like a connector reoplacement and a resistor change.
