Re: hopefully the last tranny question??????
now idk if you want to listen to what i know because as you said im not mechanically inclined. but a A1 is a usdm ls tranny, not jdm. flywheels are all the same from 90-01 so theres no difference.
pressure plates: 90-01 clutch discs: 90-91 and 92-01 throwout bearings: 90-93 and 94-01 that means that the clutch is different from 90-91 and 92-93 because of the clutch disc. so if the tranny you get is from a 92-93 you will need a new clutch disc. if hte tranny is from a 90-91, you can use your same clutch disc. i have a A1 in my car, i run a 90-91 exedy clutch |

Re: hopefully the last tranny question??????
i have no idea how to determine the year of the tranny.
my guessing is that its a 90-91 but thats just a guess. only way would be to try put your clutch plate on the tranny and see if it fits, im pretty sure the 92 and up trannies have a bigger input shaft |

Re: hopefully the last tranny question??????
well if your A1 is a 90-91. the only problem with the A1 trannys is that i havent really been able to find any info on it.
but i think the 90-91 came with the S1 and A1. and the 92-93 came with the YS1. but again this is just a guess |
