94 Lumina APV Starting problems
Occasionally when I drive the van for a few miles it wont restart. It turns over but sounds like there is either no gas or spark. It never happens when Im somewhere I can check either of these things. If i wait a while it will start normally. It isnt running hot.Any ideas.

Re: 94 Lumina APV Starting problems
probably a crank sensor or ignition module going bad. It could also be a leaking fuel pressure regulator. You'll need to check for spark when the van wont start to determine which is your problem.

Re: Re: 94 Lumina APV Starting problems
Thanks will try that.It seems this time when I start it and step on the gas while in park the engine seems to lose power about 3/4 of the way down.

Re: 94 Lumina APV Starting problems
That may be the rev limiter kicking in...it'll cut it back at redline.
Don't rev a motor that hard, unless you wanna see pieces of it fly through the hood.

Re: Re: 94 Lumina APV Starting problems
Thing is it wouldnt even rev that high before it kicked in.It cuts out around 2500 RPM.I would hope a V-6 could rev to 2500 without coming apart.Could also be Im spoiled by always driving a V-8.I did drive it and it seems that it only does it in park and neutral.thanks for the heads up.
