where does the negative terminal go from the car battery? Thanks

that is the ground. There is probably a hole in the block for it. So you can take a bolt and bolt it to the block

If the cable is too short to go to the block, you can also mount it right onto the frame. On my 76 it actually mounts right onto the alternator bracket. Any good ground will do. Just make sure that you have your engine itself grounded well. I ran into a problem not too long ago where my groundstrap was no good and I had power going to everything all the time. Good luck

The Nova also has a ground strap running from the front subframe to the body.
