86 Deville 4.1 transmission prob :(

Hi, can anyone help me out there with a problem i have with what i think is a transmission knock, it only makes a knocking noise after 5 miles or so of driving when the engine and box are hot, also it only knocks in first and second gear.
I live in Britain so there arn`t many people over here with Cadillac experience. The car was neglected and ran with low transmission fluid but i`m hoping iv`e saved the car in time! When the car is cold there is no probs with the transmission, iv`e changed the fluid and filter and will prob do the fluid again in 200 miles time.
thanks Matt.

That knocking could possibly your torque converter, when your driving put your hand on transmission hump in car and see if you can feel knocking, dont waste your money on changing fluid again, there are anti torque converter shudder liquid additives that you could try. it's a common thing and it's called "torque converter shudder". it does not cause any harm
but it is annoying.
