Post Agree or Disgree?

Hey fellow AF members. If you could just read this thread and post your thoughts here about it or there I don't really care. Just please determine if MrPbody, MagicRat, and I are right or wrong.

Re: Agree or Disgree?

If you want to burn some one do it with facts. Don't call them names or make fun of them. I've had debates with MrPbody and we kept it to what we know about the cars. Now I'm not saying I beat him because he knows alot, but it's always fun to try and remember what you've heard, know and have read to try and "shoot down" somebody elses statements.

Re: Agree or Disgree?

MrPbody and I tried to do that but she resisted and twisted our words to hell and back. If there was another way to reach her then yes I would go for it but nothing works.

Re: Agree or Disgree?

I notice that Mustanglvr's last post in that thread is more reasonable, which is a good sign.

IMO most of her other posts do violate the AF rules of good conduct, by personally attacking the other participants, (in a mean spirited way) instead of limiting the debate to the issues at hand.

I suspect the only reason why Mustanglvr has not been banned or received a warning is that the mods here are a tolerant bunch and no one has complained about her to them, yet.

I do not want to engage in such vicious threads, because I'm a cranky SOB and might write something that might get myself banned.

I did not write 2500++ helpful answers to technical questions just to get myself burned by personal vendettas.

Re: Agree or Disgree?

It's good that someone had a change of heart and decided to settle down a little bit.

I agree with Mr. Pbody and I think you could all learn a lot from him. He always seems to write solid, factual information and has an ability to set personal opinions aside (unless mentioned otherwise). I don't always agree with the opinions, but I respect the facts and efforts and enjoy reading the posts. Some folks on this message board have a lot of good factual information and advice to offer and are willing to share it. If everyone starts insulting each other and throwing names, people like this will probably not write on here anymore (they'll be the first to leave) and then we're left with nothing more then online arguing.

Obviously, everyone has a right to their thoughts an opinions, but nothing productive is accomplished when personal attacks are thrown in the mix.

A question was written, and some answers were given. Take the info for what it is. You don't have to follow it if you don't like it. It's just some elses opinion and thoughts.

A person asked about Chevy engines in Fords. Big deal. There are thousands of small block chevys in Fords of all years and models out there, especially 1930's Fords. I'm putting an LS1 in a 1957 PLymouth . I get bashed left and right on the forwardlook.net forums. I don't care if they don't like it. I'm not building it for them. But I don't have to insult each and every person who thinks I'm wasting an LS1 or a forward look Mopar.
