last question, for those who got a muffler installed for a cavalier, preferably the Rally Sport 1998, how long did it take, and how much was the cost for labor and whatnot?
thanks |

Depends on how busy they are and how good the welder is. Price depends on your location. I think I spent somewhere around $60 for the installation because they made the custom piece to make the muffler inlet fit the exhaust pipe. Wish I had a catback now, but oh well. That'll come later I guess.

Re: Midas Muffler Installation
I'd say $50-60 is reasonable and to be expected.

Re: Midas Muffler Installation
Why didnt you just do it yourself? At first I didnt think I was going to be able to do mine by myself but once I took a look at things and got the general idea of it it was a snap. I dont even have any exhaust leaks.

Re: Midas Muffler Installation
Midas will rip you off my friend....
I was quoted 80 for them to just slap a pipe on my car. Cole muffler put my old one on for 2o even, and RDfabs will be doing my next one... at cost for tubing.

Re: Midas Muffler Installation
I would not put one on myself b/c what happens if a peice of pipe is rusted and now you have to get that peice. that could be an extra 5-10 bucks or so plus 2 c clamps. Now, keep in mind, if you do not weld, water could get in there and make the pipe rust alot quicker. Thats just me. My 2 cents.
