1990 centry custom fan help

if any one knows what could cause the fan not to kick on please help me out. I just replced the fan and pluged in the the power plug for the fan the ground is hooked up ands the fan wont kick on what could this be i am at a loss

check your fan relay, and temp sending unit wired to the relay(assuming this is an engine fan)
