Wilma is gone... but the effects are not.

So I got lucky enough to get power already. There are still millions without power and just a few thousand who already have it. If that helps you understand how lucky I am.

I was here for katrina, and she hit us softly. It still took them weeks to get all the power up. Wilma straight fucked us up. I'll have pictures soon. If somebody can tell me how to upload videos I will do that too. (basic details will work)

Anyways, the eye passed directly over us... I know some people who live a few miles away who didn't get the eye. My neighborhood got it. For the second half of the storm I slept. I was on some good shit. The first half consisted of frantically soaking up water and ringing out towels and jamming rags into the cracks between windows.

anyways, I'll have pics and vids soon. Its crazy.

glad to hear you're ok, we haven't had a bad storm in the UK for about 15 years. when the weather man said "some woman called in saying a huge storm was on the way, we can assure you madam that nothing like that will happen" the next day everything was wrecked, trees lying on motorways etc..

http://www.putfile.com - you might have to register for an accout but you can load pretty big vids here.

oh, an you've been sig'd btw.

Damn that's a pretty good sized tree to be uprooted like that. Is your car alright?

Re: Wilma is gone... but the effects are not.

I had to work that morning, and I couldn't even walk straight. I lost power at my house for about 2 hours, but I ended up opening up all my windows and doors and sleeping through the whole thing. How cold was it down there? It was freezing here.
