1994 grand am head lights
All of a sudden my head light stopped working. if I turn them on and open the door the alarm goes off telling me they are on.
Is there a fuse for them if so which one is it. How do I take the head light out to check the bulbs? Thanks |

You have the same problem many others have had. The multifuntion switch that turns on your headlights/high beams/cruise control/ directionals is fried. Buy one at Autozone and have a mechanic install it or possibly do it yourself. There is a thred here where someone has given directions on how to disassemble steering column and install new. |

Maybe you'll get lucky and its just the bulb so I'd check that first.

The headlight switch is easy to install, and you don't have to remove the steering wheel, despite what other people tell you. I did my 95 without taking the wheel off, you need a torx driver, like a screw driver to get the screws out of the column, and a torx bit and pliers to get the screws out of the switch, and a little patience.
