I have a 1998 Ford Escort LX

And everytime I start it it seems to almost want to start, and then won't?

After I get it started it runs fine, until I have to start it again.

Then I have the same problem.

I replaced the battery, spark plugs, fuel filter, and had a coolant flush, no difference.

I need help, because everyday it takes longer to start.

Fuel pump maybe. I just had a truck that was doing something similar. Sometimes it would start first shot sometimes it would crank for about 10 seconds sometimes I would have to start it twice.. Put a fuel pump in and the problem is gone.
