Cool How to get a ls1 Trans Am into the 12's????

I was just curious on what would be the best and cheapest mods to get a stock A4 98 (ls1) trans Am into the 12 second range... i would greatly appreciate it thx..

Exhaust, Headers, CAI, Cam, Intake. I think that should put you into the 12s. Correct me if im wrong tho, Mr Luos

Slicks will kill the rear end.

Most of these cars have a 12 second run in them with some practice and slightly stickier tires. No mods other than the tires.
Gears/lid/catback would insure this.

ah. so thats something not to do to my 3g :/ well the weakest point in my drivetrain is the crappy 700R4... what a pos. broke twice in one month.

wanna get it in the 12's.. all u have to do is start it lol jk well i can tell you this much. my cousin has a 02 firehawk and when he had full exhuast and some other shit he ran a fastest of 13.1. now he has a tune, throttle body, heads, and some other shit and i know he's running mid 12's easily.

yea i heard of stories like that, but i personally wouldn't believe it. fully moded LS1 powered cars barley run 12's. i know a whole bunch of guys here in rochester with f-bodies, including myself, and i've never seen a ls1 car run 12's with out a bunch of mods. did he maybe have slicks cause then i could see it

I know someone with an LS1 in my town completely stock who ran 12 something. It's not impossible.

yea, but how do u know its completely stock? u can't see cams, headwork, or a chip.. a lot of ppl just say its stock cause they want ppl to think there car is better for some reason.

There are a couple LS1 F-Body's that have gotten into the 12's completely stock. Just a couple though.
