Re: Is there even such a thing?

Look into the Kenwood music keg

Quote:
The KHD-C710 Kenwood Music Keg lets you enjoy a huge music collection in your car - its transportable 10GB DMS cartridge can hold up to 2,500 of your songs at standard MP3 compression - as easily as playing CDs or listening to the radio.

I already addressed the MP3 CD option:

I know you can fit a lot of mp3s on a cd. They're a pain in the ass though...you have to change them and they get lost and mix cds HATE me (a song on one cd will always make me want to listen to another song that is NEVER on the same CD...I know...I'm weird) and cd-r/rw's don't last very long and I don't have a burner right now (mine's in storage in florida) and this puter would die if it had to burn cds and so on and so on.

My point is, I don't like mix CDs. I want to be able to have all of my music with me at all times and easily accessable.
I want to leave the puter out of it as much as possible...cuz it's a piece of shit. That Kenwood Keg thing is pretty cool, but it seems to use the computer pretty extensivly...plus $500 + a head unit is getting up there a bit...not too bad though. With a head unit and an iPod, not only would I be able to free up a lot of room on the puter by taking all the MP3s that are on here now off (I have a whopping ~145MB of hard drive left on here....no...that's not a typo...), but I would require the use of the computer very minimally. I could also use the iPod as additional storage. They have iPods now that are *4 TIMES* my computer's total hard drive. I don't need that much though.

Yea....it's not too horrible of a computer....it's just full of stuff (I don't even know WHAT, honestly) and not that new. If I took a bunch of stuff off, it would be a lot better. That's why the iPod would be good.

In fact...I was looking at them online last night.......oh my GOD.....they do all KINDS OF STUFF......they're almost like 40gig pda's, now. I might get one for christmas. Probably a 20 gig, if anything.....I don't need 40...that's a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally lot......

Re: Re: Re: Re: Is there even such a thing?

Biggest thing I enjoy with my carputer is the navigation, not to mention XM, 10 Gigs of MP3's, rear view camera, WiFi (when hub available), Oh yeah...and bluetooth phone. I've had it about 2 years and I would miss it badly if I ever had to go without. Got most of my stuff from www.customcarputers.com
