Transmission stick in firts gear

I own a 1998 Subaru outback with 110,000 miles. The transmission seems is sluggish coming out of first gear until it warms up (.5 miles or so). If the car is started and warmed up ibefore departure it is fine. I have changed the trans fluid and added conditioner. No improvement. Any ideas anyone?

I have the same problem on my impreza. Lately it has gotten worse and now its sticky 1-4 gear.
